WADDINGTON, NY — On August 4, 2023, State Police Members arrested Zoan M. Diaz, age 26, of St. Martin, VI, Maji M. Ben Arfa, age 24, St. Martin, VI, and Eliscar S. Hercule, age 27, of Boynton Beach, FL for criminal possession of cannabis 1st.
On August 4, 2023, around 9:37 a.m., State police members assisted the United State Border Patrol agents with a traffic stop on a black 2015 BMW traveling on State Highway 37, in the town of Waddington.
Border Patrol agents interviewed the occupants of the vehicle, who were identified as Diaz, Ben Arfa, and Hercule. They gave consent to search the vehicle and located two suitcases containing a large amount of cannabis. They were found to be in possession of more than 10 lbs of cannabis, trooper said. They were arrested and processed at SP Massena. They were arraigned in the Town of Massena Court where they were released on their own recognizances.
