Update: Mexico bank robbery

OSWEGO, NY —  The following is an update on the robbery that occurred at Key Bank in the village of Mexico on July 15:

As a result of a swift investigation, David Clark, 31 years of age and from Mexico, NY, was arrested for Robbery in the third degree and Grand Larceny in the fourth degree.

Clark passed a note at the bank to a teller, demanding money from the drawer, deputies said. Clark took off with $2,151 of the bank’s money, deputies said.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office arrested Clark several hours later and were ultimately able to recover $1,588 of the stolen money.

Clark was arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court a few moments ago and was Released on his Own Recognizance.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were assisted in this investigation by the New York State Police and Oswego Police Department.
