WATERTOWN, NY — Victoria Joy Lear, 76, Watertown, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born June 21, 1943, in Gouverneur, she was educated locally and received an associate’s degree.
Following her education, she enlisted in the United States Army Reserves serving for eight years and attaining the rank of staff sergeant.
Recently Victoria worked as a retail associate at Watertown’s Bon Ton in Salmon Run Mall. Prior to that she worked at several local car dealership and retail stores.
She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, traveling, and exploring abroad in her younger years.
A marriage to Raymond Lear, III, ended in divorce.
She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Raymond J. III and Lucinda Lear; her grandchildren, Zachary Lear, Shane (Nicole) Lear; a great-grandson, Zachary Lear; a great-granddaughter, Elliott Lear; and her siblings, Linda, Jane, Larry, & Lacy; several nieces, nephews, and her forever sister in-law, Ethal Smith.
