Jefferson County Fire and Emergency Management Update:
We have opened or are opening warming centers across the County.
Locations include:
Adams Fire Station
Henderson Fire Station
Northpole Fire Station
Chaumont Fire Station
Cape Vincent Fire Station
Sackets Harbor Station
Crews are working to get roads open and keep them open. Currently we have many vehicles that have either been abandoned in the roadways or are stuck with people still in them. Law Enforcement is working to get these vehicles to get people transported to a warming shelter.
Currently, Jefferson County 911 is showing approximately 75 to 100 vehicles off the roadway with some occupied.
