Watertow woman accused of pouring whiskey on man’s laptop computer

WATERTOWN, NY — Chelsea T. Barnett, 26, of 207 Creekwood Dr., Apt. 3, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:26 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at her residence with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

Ms. Barnett is accused of causing damage to a Apple Macbook Pro valued at $1,300 by pouring whiskey on the laptop causing it to become inoperable at about 11:07 p.m. Saturday at 207 Creekwood Dr., police said.

“The defendant further damaged a Panasonic flat screen television valued at $150 by jumping on it causing the back panel to become cracked and the base broken during a domestic incident,” according to court documents.

Both items belong  to Javoris Barnett, 29, Watertown, police said.

She was arraigned Sunday morning in Town of Watertown Court and released on her own recognizance pending further court action.
