Watertown Board of Education appoints new assistant superintendent for personnel and student services

WATERTOWN, NY — The Watertown City School District Board of Education appointed Tina M. Lane to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Student Services at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday night.

Ms. Lane currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for Instruction within the Oneida City School District. She began her career in education at General Brown Central School District as an elementary teacher and technology specialist. She later served as that district’s junior-senior high school principal from 2008 to 2016.

“I am thrilled to become a member of the Watertown City School District team and to further the district’s mission to build a caring culture that fosters lifelong learners and responsible citizens,” said Ms. Lane. “I look forward to serving the students, staff, and community within the district.”

Ms. Lane holds a Bachelor of Science degree from LeMoyne College, a master’s degree from SUNY Potsdam, a certificate of advanced study from SUNY Oswego, and she completed the Superintendent Development Program at SUNY Oswego in 2014.
