Watertown City School District and American Red Cross to host home fire preparedness event

WATERTOWN, NY — Members of the Watertown City School District community are invited to attend an evening of fire safety awareness on Monday, April 1 st in the Watertown High School auditorium.

Sponsored by the American Red Cross and the school district’s PTOs, Sound the Alarm/Save a Life will provide important information regarding home fire preparedness and safety.

The event will begin at 6 p.m.

Information on home fire escape plans, family drills, cooking safety, fireplaces and electrical appliances will be included in the presentation. In addition, families will be able to register for up to three free lithium battery smoke detectors to be installed in homes by the American Red Cross.
