Watertown International Airport and American Airlines mark 10-year anniversary

DEXTER, NY – The Watertown International Airport will celebrate the airport’s 10-year anniversary of commercial airline service with American Airlines on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021.

American Airlines began offering commercial air service from Watertown International Airport (ART) to Philadelphia, PA on November 17, 2011. Since the commencement of service in 2011, over 390,000 passengers have flown on American Airlines flights from our local airport.

Watertown International Airport will be recognizing American Airlines and celebrating passengers by hosting a 10-year anniversary celebration on November 17, 2021. The celebration will help the airport to honor passengers and to thank our hard-working American Airlines, TSA, and airport staff for the successful completion of 10 years of service in the community.

Passengers traveling this Wednesday, Nov. 16, will be able to join in the celebration by enjoying anniversary cupcakes and receiving complementary Watertown International Airport / American Airlines logo bags and giveaways.

We appreciate our partnership with American Airlines, and all passengers that have flow in and out of Watertown. Watertown International Airport offers free parking, short lines, and easy access to the globe. American Airlines and the airport continue to do a fantastic job,” said Legislator Phil Reed.

I am proud of our partner airline team, and of all of the Transportation Security Administration, Law Enforcement, County employees, and airport contractors that continue to make this service and this airport successful. Their hard work and efforts over the past 10 years have been driving factors, ensuring that 390,000+ people have been able to travel to where they need to go in a safe, efficient, and economical manor.”
