Watertown man accused of breaking into vending machine at car wash, stealing $100 in cash

WATERTOWN, NY —  James R. Jarrett, 29, of 147 Park Ave., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and petit larceny.

Mr. Jarrett is accused of using a tool to break into a vending machine at Tiny Bubbles, 800 Bradley St., at about 4:11 p.m. Dec. 11, 2019, and removed interior parts causing over $250 in damage, according to court documents. He is also accused of breaking a lock off of a Pepsi vending machine and stealing $100 in cash from a vending machine during the same incident, police said.

He is summoned to appear July 9 in City Court.
