Watertown man accused of choking 7-year-old boy, police say

WATERTOWN, NYThomas H. Tibbles Jr., 24, of 420 W. Mullin St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 12:49 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in the 100 block of Willow Street with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and endangering the welfare of a child.

Mr. Tibbles is accused of applying pressure to the throat of a 7-year-old boy and pushing the child against a wall at about 12:26 p.m. Saturday at 420 W. Mullin St., according to court documents.

“The defendant further pushed the child to the ground when he tried to walk away,” police wrote.

He was being held pending arraignment Saturday afternoon in City Court.
