Watertown man accused of choking, punching woman

WATERTOWN, NYDale C. Groff, 44, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, in the 200 block of High Street with criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation and second-degree harassment.

Mr. Groff is accused of applying pressure to the neck of a 29-year-old woman with both of his hands and punched her in the face causing a bloody nose during a domestic incident at about 6:31 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at 331 McClelland St., according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
