Watertown man accused of choking, punching woman, police say

WATERTOWN, NY — George D. Robinson Jr., 36, of 1102 Boyd St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:41 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at 604 Pine St. with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment.

Mr. Robinson is accused of punching a 28-year-old woman in her face with a closed fist and applying pressure to her neck during a domestic incident at about 7:30 a.m. Jan. 2 at 604 Pine St., according to court documents.

Mr. Robinson was also arrested on a bench warrant, police said.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.
