Watertown man accused of choking, punching woman

WATERTOWN, NY — Jeremy A. Love, 28, of 176 Duffy St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at 176 Duffy St. with criminal obstruction with breathing or blood circulation, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment.

Mr. Love is accused of applying pressure to the throat or neck of Marilyn St. Laurent, 32, causing her to not be able to breathe for 2 to 3 seconds, slapped her in the face and punched her in the shoulder at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to court documents.

He also allegedly ran from officers while be handcuffed, police said.

He was being held pending arraignment Thursday morning in City Court.
