Watertown man accused of choking woman, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Dayquan T. Sanders, 26, of 123 S. Meadow St., Apt. 2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:02 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

Mr. Sanders is accused of holding a 20-year-old woman against a wall by applying pressure to her neck by using both of his hands causing her to have difficulty breathing at about 9:15 a.m. Aug. 21 at Huntington Heights, apartment building S, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment in court.
