Watertown man accused of DWI, fighting with officers

WATERTOWN, NY — Jason D. Cranmer, 33, of 212 N. Indiana Ave., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at 212 N. Indiana Ave. with driving while intoxicated, second-degree harassment and resisting arrest.

A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Police said he refused to provide a breath sample.

He also allegedly fought with officers after being advised he was under arrest, according to court documents. “He lunged at and attempted to strike a uniformed member of the Watertown Police Department with a closed fist,” police wrote.

He was being held pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
