Watertown man accused of firing paintballs at Union Street home

WATERTOWN, NY —  Since Saturday, 08/22/2020, our department has investigated several complaints of a houses and vehicles being hit with paintballs. In addition, at least two people have reported being hit by paintballs. A gray Chrysler 300 was seen fleeing the area of some of these incidents.

On 08/23/2020, on or about 9:47 PM, a suspect drove by an apartment house located 134 Union St. in our city and shot it several times with paintballs, which caused damage to the interior of the building.

Today our police officers located 25 year old Tajemar M. Brandon outside his residence at 224 Sherman St. in our city. We also located a gray Chrysler 300 sedan, which was towed to the station for the investigation.

Mr. Brandon was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree for causing damage to the Union Street building.

He was brought to the police station for processing and issued an appearance ticket to answer in City Court on a later date.
