Watertown man accused of pitting in woman’s face during domestic incident

WATERTOWN, NY —  Isaac L. Young, 32, of 717 Myrtle Ave., Apt. 2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, in the 300 block of Brainard Street with second-degree harassment and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was additionally charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

Mr. Young is accused of spitting in a 30-year-old woman’s face, striking her in the face and placing her in a “rear guard headlock,” during a domestic incident at about 3:08 p.m. Wednesday in front of 717 Myrtle Ave., according to court documents.

He is also accused of taking her cell phone to prevent her from contacting the police and threw the phone on the ground causing damage to the rear panel during the same incident, police said.

It is alleged he violated the terms of a Family Court stay-away order of protection when he went to the protected party’s residence to retrieve property at about 5:16 p.m. July 27 at 639 Emerson St., Apt. 2, according to court documents.

Mr. Young was being held pending video arraignment Wednesday.
