Watertown man accused of shaking child

WATERTOWN, NY — Kevin B. Youmans, 19, of 117 High St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 12:11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at his residence with endangering the welfare of a child.

He is accused of picking up a 23-month-old child by her arms and shook her several times in an attempt to make the child stop crying at about 12:45 p.m. July 19 at Watertown Urban Mission, 247 Factory St., according to court documents.

He is summoned to appear Aug. 19 in City Court.
