Watertown man accused of shoplifting at two stores

WATERTOWN, NY — Phillip W. Goodnough, 32, of 320 State St., Apt. 204, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with petit larceny.

Mr. Goodnough is accused of placing a Nest thermostat valued at $200 and exited ReSale America, 114 Eastern Blvd., without attempting to make a payment at about 6:18 p.m. Sept. 7, police said. He was additionally charged with an additional count of petit larceny for stealing merchandise at Kinney Drugs, 905 Coffeen St., at about 3:26 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, police said.

He is summoned to appear Jan. 4 in City Court.
