Watertown man accused of threatening his mother with box cutter while demanding money

WATERTOWN, NY — On Jan. 1, 2023, State Police in Watertown arrested Miguel A. Harvey, age 23, Watertown, NY, for first-degree robbery, a class “B” felony, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class “D” felony.

Harvey is charged with threatening his mother with a box cutter and demanding money. The victim gave Harvey money, he then left the residence, troopers said.

Troopers located Harvey at a residence in the town of Watertown where he was taken into custody without incident.

Harvey was arraigned at CAP Court by Honorable Dave Morse. Mr. Harvey was held without bail due to having prior felony convictions.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 5, 2023, at 9:00 A.M., in Town of Watertown Court.
