Watertown man accused of violating order of protection at woman’s apartment

WATERTOWN, NY —  Phillip M. Thomas, 33, of 505 Arsenal St., upper rear apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at 232 N. Hamilton St. with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal trespass.

Mr. Thomas is accused of violating the terms of a Rutland Town Court order of protection when he enter and remained inside the apartment of the protected party, a 29-year-old woman, at about 8:52 p.m. Thursday at 232 N. Hamilton St., according to court documents.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending video arraignment.
