Watertown man accused of violating order of protection, trespassing at woman’s apartment

WATERTOWN, NY —   Kweku S. Asante, 23, of 1815 Olmsted Dr., Apt. 201-B, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 1815 Olmsted Dr. with second-degree counts of criminal contempt and trespass.

He is accused of violating the terms of a refrain-from order of protection by entering the residence of Kelicia A, Asante, 23, and remained there without permission while threatening harm on the the protected party during a domestic incident at about 7:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at 806 Burchard St., Apt. 8, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
