Watertown man allegedly sent threatening text messages, kicked in woman’s front door

WATERTOWN, NY — Raymond G. Woodard Jr., 24 ,of 681 Mill St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 3:37 a.m. Sunday, May 19, in the 200 block of Franklin Street with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree criminal impersonation.

Mr. Woodard is accused of sending several text messages to Taylor J.L. Mooney, 24, threatening to come to her residence and kick in her front door, and then followed through by causing damage to the victim’s front door at about 3:19 a.m. Sunday at 152 Academy St., according to court documents.

While being questioned by police Mr. Woodard allegedly identified himself as Travon Felton in an attempt to avoid being arrest, according to court documents.

He was arraigned Sunday morning before Town of Watertown Justice Matthew J. Porter who released him on his own recognizance  An order of protection for the victim was issued.
