Watertown man attempted to stab another with knife, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Seth A. LaBarge, 28, of 521 Jefferson St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, in the 800 block of Burchard Street with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, tampering with physical evidence, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

Mr. LaBarage is accused of attempting to stab Willie Richardson, 29, with a knife at about 11:33 p.m. Tuesday at 806 Burchard St., police said. He also allegedly “gave his knives to Richard Hodge who was leaving the scene of the incident in an attempt to conceal the knives from police officers that were arriving on the scene to investigate,” according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
