Watertown man charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Boyd Street

WATERTOWN, NY — Thomas J. Wallace, 42, of 1032 State St., Apt. 1, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:42 a.m. Monday, April 30, in the 1000 block of Boyd Street with aggravated driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony, and unsafe lane change. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. Police did not provide his BAC. His license was suspended on March 16, according to court documents. He is summoned to appear May 11 in City Court.
