Watertown man charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Steven S. Baker, 35, of 21912 Birch Lane, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:57 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Taco Bell, 945 Arsenal St., with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

His blood alcohol content was 0.21 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

Mr. Baker is summoned to appear Jan. 8 in City Court.
