Watertown man charged with criminal possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct

WATERTOWN, NY —  Thomas W. Rapholtz, 46, of 511 Kieff Dr., Apt. F, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, in the 200 block of Mechanic Street with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and disorderly conduct.

He is accused of possessing a switch blade in his left pants pocket while having been previously convicted of second-degree criminal contempt in Jefferson County Court on Jan. 31, 2018, police said.

Mr. Rapholtz is also accused of ignoring several commands by police officers to quiet down and continued to yell loudly at his girlfriend during a domestic incident, according to court documents.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Saturday morning in court.

His girlfriend, Crystal L. Hutt, 44, of 511 Kieff Dr., Apt. F, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the same location with resisting arrest. She is accused of interfering with officers as they were arresting Mr. Rapholtz, according to court documents. She is summoned to appear July 9 in City Court.
