WATERTOWN, NY — Aaron D. Carr, 43, of 1221 Faichney Dr., Apt. 5, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:54 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, in the 700 block of Arsenal Street with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, failure to dim headlights and driving without a license.
A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. Police said his BAC was 0.22 percent.
Police said he was stopped while operating a 2014 Ford Focus.
The charge is a felony due to a previous DWI conviction on May 29, 2013, in City Court, police said.
Mr. Carr is summoned to appear July 24 in City Court.
