Watertown man charged with violating order of protection for allegedly sending 45 text messages

WATERTOWN, NYTrevor O. Converse, 27, of 660 Boyd St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:45 p.m Sunday, July 21, at 222 N. Massey St. with second-degree criminal contempt.

Mr. Converse is accused of violating the terms of a Family Court stay-away order of protection when he sent 45 text messages to the protected party, Alexandra L. Wetmore, 24, on Jan. 21, 2019, police said.

He was being held pending arraignment Monday morning, July 22, in City Court.
