Watertown man cut woman’s throat with kitchen knife, police say

WATERTOWN, NY — Marcus Leandry, 47, of 11 Public Square, Apt. 307, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.

He is accused of cutting Shara B. Leandry, 41, Watertown, with a 10-inch kitchen knife causing a 3 to 4 inch laceration to her throat at about noon May 10 at 73 Public Square, Apt. 3, according to court documents.

He was arraigned before City Judge Anthony M. Neddo who sent him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building to be held without bail.
