Watertown man damaged woman’s cell phone, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Patrick C. Monica, 50, of 136 N. Meadow St., Apt. A, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:12 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at his residence with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Mr. Monica is accused of damaging a cell phone belonging to Louann H. Mroz, 58, same address, when he broke the screen of the phone in a kitchen and then placed the cell phone under water in a sink at about 10:15 p.m. Friday at their home, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Saturday morning in City Court.
