Watertown man held on $10K bail after kicking in door at home, stealing purse

WATERTOWN, NY —  Bryson G. Birht, 25, Watertown, was charged by state police with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor), and violation of probation warrant.

The charges stemmed from a domestic dispute that occurred Dec. 8, 2020, alleging Mr. Birht kicked the victim’s door and stole a purse, troopers said.

Birht was located and was found to have a violation of probation warrant from Jefferson County Probation Department.

Mr. Birht was arraigned in LeRay Town Court and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secure bond.
