WATERTOWN, NY — Dakota T. Bedore, 27, Watertown was charged Thursday morning, Dec. 10, with second-degree assault, a class D felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A misdemeanor, according to state police.
Bedore is accused of stabbing his 31-year-old brother, Cheyenne, in the chest with a tool during a physical altercation at the victim’s apartment at 24097 State Route 12 (Cold Creek Apartments), in the town of Watertown, troopers said.
Cheyenne was transported by Town of Watetown Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown for non-life threatening injuries, troopers said.
Dakota Bedore was arraigned in City Court and released on his own recognizance.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Watertown police and Town of Watertown Ambulance assisted at the scene.
