Watertown man violated order of protection, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Christopher A. Riley, 29, of 73 Public Square, Apt. 2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 6:56 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 73 Public Square, Apt. 2, with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

Mr. Riley is accused of violating the terms of a stay-away order of protection at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 73 Public Square, according to court documents. The order was issued verbally by City Judge Anthony M. Neddo on Jan. 20, police wrote. Further details of the incident were not provided.

He was being held pending arraignment Tuesday morning in City Court.
