WATERTOWN, NY — Shawn A. Petrie, 32, of 421 S. Meadow St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 3:52 a.m. Saturday, May 30, in the 300 block of Mullin Street with aggravated driving while intoxicated, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, failure to keep right and two citations for failure to stop at a stop sign.
His blood alcohol content was 0.25 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.
He was being held pending arraignment Saturday morning in court.
