Watertown woman accused of allowing 7-year-old son to live in deplorable conditions, police say

WATERTOWN, NYAlexis C. Hughes, 28, of 1033 State St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with endangering the welfare of a child.

Ms. Hughes is accused of allowing her 7-year-old son to “remain living in deplorable conditions at 1033 State St. Watertown,” police said. “Such conditions included animal feces and vomit on the floors of the residence of the residence, rotten food and drinks left scattered throughout the residence, and trash strewn about,” according to court documents.

She is summoned to appear July 2 in City Court.
