Watertown woman accused of falsely reporting a stolen vehicle, police say

WATERTOWN, NYDoreen M. Salerno, 45, of 238 Francis St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:26 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at her residence with third-degree falsely reporting an emergency.

Ms. Salerno is accused of reporting her vehicle was stolen and found damaged at about 12:02 a.m. Sunday, May 12, at 238 Francis St., police said. “She later claimed she allowed an unknown male to operate her vehicle,” according to court documents.

She is summoned to appear May 29 in City Court.
