Watertown woman accused of threatening another with beer bottle at tavern

WATERTOWN, NY —  Kwanience M. Thompson-Weeks, 21, of 207 Wealtha Ave., Apt. 649D, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:23 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, in the 100 block of William Street with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and trespass.

Ms. Thompson-Weeks is accused of advancing towards Jennifer L. Lopez, 45, Watertown, with a beer bottle “as if to strike her” in a threatening manner and did spit on Ms. Lopez at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Double Deuce Tavern, 560 State St., according to court documents. She also allegedly threw a pendant light valued at $100 and two napkins holders valued at $10 each during the incident, police said. She allegedly ignored numerous requests by staff to leave the premises, according to court papers.

She is summoned to appear Nov. 18 in City Court.
