Watertown woman allegedly hit man in head with ashtray during domestic incident

WATERTOWN, NY — Leslie Jo Damon, 39, of 519 Emerson St., Apt. 2, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with fourth-degree criminal mischief, falsely reporting an incident and second-degree harassment.

She is accused of reporting a false domestic incident when she called 911 and stated a man beat her up at about 8:46 p.m. Feb. 11, police said. She also allegedly threw an ashtray belonging to Bryan Blackmon, 49, across a room hitting him in the head and causing the ashtray to break at about 11:00 p.m. Feb. 9, according to court documents.

She is summoned to appear Feb. 19 in City Court.
