Watertown woman facing charges after domestic incident, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Angelina M. Johnson, 25, of 121 St. Mary St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 121 St. Mary St. with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.

Ms. Johnson is accused of violating the terms of a City Court refrain-from order of protection when she struck the protected party, Lavar A. Winder, 23, same address, several times in his face with a closed fist and neck causing minor lacerations during a domestic incident at about 7:16 p.m. Wednesday at 121 St. Mary St., according to court documents. Two girls, both age 1, were in close proximity to the incident, police said.

She was being held pending arraignment Oct. 10 in City Court.
