WATERTOWN, NY — Kaitlynn L. Stone, 21, Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 3:05 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, in the 1000 block of Coffeen Street with aggravated driving while intoxicated.
A sheriff’s sergeant observed Stone drive off the south side of Coffeen Street near Fair Street and continued west on Coffeen Street until coming to a stop near Byrne Dairy, according to scanner radio traffic.
A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. Stone’s BAC was 0.24 percent, deputies said.
Stone is summoned to appear in court at a later date.
