LOWVILLE, NY —Â On Dec. 20, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m. patrols were notified of a snowmobile crash with injury on Kubinski Road in the town of Harrisburg.
When patrols arrived on scene they were notified by bystanders that they found the man trapped under his snowmobile, which had overturned.
The man was identified as Thomas J. Marcellus, 41, of Ontario, NY.
Lewis County Search and Rescue and Lowville Fire Department arrived on scene to assist.
Marcellus was operating a 2022 Ski-Doo MXZ 850 at the time. Marcellus was treated and transported for head and leg injuries.
Marcellus was issued multiple universal traffic tickets for unregistered snowmobile, operating on a closed road, speed not reasonable and prudent and invalid registration sticker.
