Wesley F. Colman, 79, Rodman

RODMAN, NY — Wesley Frank Colman, 79, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 2, surrounded by his family.

Wesley was born Jan. 16, 1939, the son of Bernard and Marion (Frank) Colman.

He graduated in 1956 from the Adams Center High School and went right to work farming with first his father and then his brother.

He married Mary Ann Chereshnoski on Dec. 2, 1972, at Saint Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Adams, NY.

Wesley enjoyed classical car shows, watching Giants football, and Sunday afternoon drives for dinner and vanilla ice cream.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; his children, John and April Colman of Painted Post, NY, Benjamin of Rodman, NY, and Joanna and Ryan Fabello of Connecticut; his siblings, Phyllis Russell of Rodman, Roberta Carpenter of Watertown, Winfield Colman of Rodman; his grandchildren, Ashley, Megan, Nicolas, Zachary, Sammy; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Calling hours will precede the service noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
