Western Boulevard construction to begin Tuesday

WATERTOWN, NY — Construction of Western Boulevard will be begin, Tuesday July 31, 2018, with the partial closing of the current travel way and placing of concrete barrier for the first phase of the project. Traffic will still be able to enter the parking lot.

The project will be constructed by Black Horse Group, Watertown, and over seen by the engineering firm Barton and Loguidice, Watertown. Both firms will have field offices in Stateway Plaza, next to the Armed Services Recruiting Center.

The project includes installation of storm drains, a partial repair to the existing water main, curbing, new pavement, sidewalks, lighting, plantings and a round-a-bout at the Gaffney Drive and Commerce Park Drive end.

All work is scheduled during the day between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM and is expected to be completed this year.
