ADAMS, NY — William H. Graves, Sr., 78, passed away at his home on Friday, July 22, 2022, under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Adams Assembly of God Church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
William was born in Adams Center, the son to the late Gordon and Pearl Reed Graves. He attended school locally.
He worked for many years at Carrier in Syracuse, Queen Farms in Pierrepont Manor and retired as a truck driver for various businesses.
Surviving are his children, William Graves, Jr., Steven (Sherry) Graves, Eric (Beth) Graves, Darlene Presley all of Adams; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jenika Graves, and a son-in-law, Clarence Presley.
William enjoyed playing checkers and horseshoes.
