DEXTER, NY — William H. ” Willie” Ruttan, 64, passed away at home on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.
Willie was the owner of Willies Bar for thirtyeight and one half years.
He enjoyed watching the Yankees and Giants play, especially the Yankees. He also enjoyed going to the casinos, drinking coffee at the office “Stewart’s in Brownville” with his best friend Mike. His greatest enjoyment was being with family and his cat Jeter.
He was predeceased by his parents Helen and Carlice Ruttan and brother Donald Ruttan.
Surviving is long-time companion Kay Russ, step-daughter Glenda and step-son John both of North Carolina. Grandchildren are Austin Tatum, Ryan Tatum, Jaden Oliver and Cory Russ. One brother Carlice (Wendy) Ruttan Jr. of Lafargeville, three sisters: Donna Spencer of Limerick, Sandy Gosier of Perch River, Sheila (John) Ingerson of Perch River also survive.
Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019 at Airport Christian Fellowship Church, 17315 NYS Rte 12F, Dexter, with the funeral to follow. Flowers may be set to the church.
