Woman charged with DWI after hitting state police patrol vehicle on bridge

TARRYTOWN — On October 26, 2022, State Police in Tarrytown arrested 50-year-old Linda M. Kramer, of Tuckahoe, for Driving While Intoxicated.

On October 26, 2022, around 9:03 p.m., a Trooper was running stationary radar on the southbound shoulder of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge when his marked police vehicle was struck from behind by Ms. Kramer’s vehicle.

An investigation determined Kramer to be intoxicated by alcohol and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

The Trooper was transported to Montefiore Nyack Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Kramer was transported to SP Tarrytown, where she refused a chemical test and was processed and released to a sober third party.

Kramer is due to appear in Greenburgh Town Court on November 18, 2022.

The trooper has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
