WPD: Fort Drum man charged with robbery in connection with incident at Maywood Terrace

WATERTOWN, NY —  The Watertown Police Department released the following statement on April 7, 2021:

“On 03/11/2021 members of our uniform patrol division and criminal investigation
division investigated a robbery that occurred in Maywood Terrace in Watertown, NY.

It was determined that Naseem Williams was in possession of what appeared to be a handgun while he attempted to steal money from another person and threw said person on the ground.

On 04/06/2021, Naseem Djnuell Williams, a 21-year-old man residing at 20368
Bagram Road, apartment 234, Fort Drum, NY, was charged with three counts of Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony, Attempted Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Harassment in the Second Degree, a Violation. He was arraigned in Watertown City Court where he was released and turned over to the Fort Drum Provost Marshal Office.”
