WWTI parent inks deal with Buffalo Bills

WATERTOWN, NY —  Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) and the Buffalo Bills announced today a new content partnership for eight media markets across New York State and Pennsylvania that will significantly expand game-day coverage and related programming to over 1.85 million TV homes.

As the new Official Broadcast Home of the Buffalo Bills, eight Nexstar affiliate stations reaching over 4.2 million potential viewers will air three preseason games, The Sean McDermott Show and other expanded content offerings featuring the NFL team. The multi-year agreement greatly expands the reach and coverage to Buffalo Bills fans across the region.

The Nexstar stations that are now the Official Broadcast Home for the Buffalo Bills are:

 Albany, NY – FOX23 WXXA  Binghamton, NY – NewsChannel 34 WIVT

 Watertown, NY – ABC 50 WWTI  Erie, PA – JET 24 WJET

The agreement includes three upcoming 2018 preseason games for the Buffalo Bills and extensive coverage of all regular season match-ups:
Caroline Panthers at Buffalo Bills August 9 th 6:30 pm
Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns August 17 th 7:00 pm
Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears August 30 th 7:30 pm

In addition to the three preseason games in 2018, each station will broadcast a special Buffalo Bills Pregame and Postgame show featuring inside access to the team. These programs will be an extension of Buffalo Kickoff LIVE, the region’s weekly Sunday morning show focusing on the Bills .

This will air on WWTI ABC 50 Sundays at 11:30am beginning September 2 nd .

As the Official Broadcast Home of the Buffalo Bills, the stations will carry The Sean McDermott Show each week featuring the Bills’ Head Coach. The 30-minute program is produced by the Buffalo Bills and gives Bills fans inside access to their favorite team . This will air on WWTI ABC 50 Sundays at 11am beginning September 2 nd .

Nexstar’s commitment to the Buffalo Bills will also include local newscasts across the state and our trusted digital platforms. Fans can expect to see daily reports and features on the Bills in all eight markets during local newscasts. In addition, a special section will be created on each station’s website offering information to local viewers and ways for fans to engage with the reporters and pro-football experts. Together, Nexstar’s websites across these eight markets generate over 2.9 million page views per week offering the Bills more exposure to their fans than ever before.
