Yvonne “Bonnie” Fish, 76, Dexter

DEXTER, NY —  Yvonne “Bonnie” Fish, 76, Dexter, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her caregivers and family who dearly loved her.

Her funeral will be 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.  Visitation hours are 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Bonnie was born Nov. 28, 1943, in Watertown, a daughter to Robert and Rita Busler Fish.

Bonnie was blessed to be part of the Jefferson Rehabilitation Center family for many years and for a large part of her time at JRC she enjoyed working at Production Unlimited. The years that Bonnie spent at her most recent JRC home in Dexter were some of here happiest. Her family there created an atmosphere full of love, support, laughter, stability, and encouragement.

Bonnie loved her home and could be found most of the time sitting in her favorite spot at the dining room table coloring, reading the newspaper, folding laundry, and simply enjoying the hustle and bustle of the house.  She loved to go on outings to shop for jewelry, clothing, and her favorite of all – lottery tickets.  She was well known to be one of the luckiest scratch-off winners ever!  Bonnie also loved her “girl-time” at the house when she would get her hair and nails done. Bonnie’s family will be forever grateful to her  Dexter family for all of the joy they brought to her, along with all of the other amazing people who were a part of her care over her lifetime. She was well-loved and will be sadly missed.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents and four siblings, a sister Cynthia Smith, a sister Mary Ellen Fish, a brother Robert Fish, and a brother Richard Fish.

She is survived and loved by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, including her caregivers Laurie and Joel LaLone, Watertown.

Memorial contributions in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the Jefferson Rehabilitation Center, 380 Gaffney Drive, Watertown, NY 13601.
